As followers of Jesus, we understand that caring for those in need is at the heart of what it means to live a Christian life. Jesus constantly sought out those on the margins, asking them what they needed. We are called to show the same care and compassion to those in need in our community.

hep school donations

St. Alfred’s has been involved with the Homeless Empowerment Program of Clearwater for many years. Our Back-to-School drive collects thousands of dollars’ worth of school supplies to enable kids to start off the school year with confidence, and our annual Giving Tree at Christmas provides presents for kids and teens brightening Christmas morning for dozens of children.

Since 1982 Daystar Life Center has been serving the needy in all of Pinellas County with food, shelter, job training, counseling services, and support groups. In the past six years, St. Alfred’s has donated many tons of rice through our monthly Rice Baggie Parties.

food pantry

St. Alfred’s collects food on a weekly basis for FEAST, a food pantry serving Northern Pinellas County for more than 30 years. To donate, bring non-perishable food items and other household staples to any of our worship services. A collection basket is located in the narthex (entrance) of the church.

Rice Bagging

On the 1st Saturday of each month a dedicated team of “Baggers” meet in Reister Hall, to portion out rice into smaller bags, for Daystar Life Center. This is a time of service and fellowship.

Music is a vital part of worship at St. Alfred’s. Our mission is to proclaim the gospel with the finest possible choral and instrumental music. Our hope is that you will find meaning in the music, whether through participation in a choir, or in the congregation at services, or in the audience at the various concerts we offer.
