What we believe
One of the defining statements we make about St. Alfred’s Episcopal Church is “All Welcomed. All Loved. No Exceptions.” We truly believe that is who we are called to be as a community of faith, based on our Baptismal Covenant and the Gospel of Jesus Christ. And we know that when it comes to living into this belief, we are a work in progress. Every time we welcome someone into our midst, offering them love and support, we are reminded of how deeply God loves and supports us. And every time we fall short of loving one another as God loves us, and beg another’s forgiveness, we are reminded of God’s abundant grace and mercy. We would love to have you come and join us at St. Alfred’s in this holy work of welcoming and loving one another.

Weekly Letter From the Rector
Fr. Peter
We hope that these pages will give you some idea of what we’re all about, but as is true with any website, these words and pictures are just a glimpse of who we really are. As we say on our home page, we hope you’ll come and join us for worship and fellowship and begin to discover for yourself who we are and what we’re all about.
As the Rector of St. Alfred’s, it gives me great joy to gather with this faithful group of Christians. They’ve been through a lot as a congregation, and yet they’ve never given up hope and have continued to offer their best efforts in both worship and service to each other and the wider world. They inspire me every day to be a better priest and pastor.
If you’re looking for a faith community with a rich past rooted in beautiful worship, unshakeable trust in God’s love and mercy, and great hope for an even brighter future, come and join us at St. Alfred’s – All Welcome. All Loved. No Exceptions.

Staff
The wonderful programs, outreach, and operations at St. Alfred’s are primarily run by volunteer staff. St. Alfred’s has been blessed with passionate and talented parishioners who lead the church with love, kindness, and grace. In addition to the volunteer staff are: Rector Father Peter Lane, Music Director Kevin Johnson.
Baptisms
Baptism in the Episcopal Church is offered to all who seek to become members of the Body of Christ and rest in the assurance that they have been marked as Christ’s own forever. Parents wishing to have a child baptized, or adults wishing to be baptized may make an appointment for further discussion. There are four Sundays in the Church calendar for Baptism. Additional times may be scheduled in consultation with the Rector at rector@stalfreds.net.
Weddings
Marriage in the Episcopal Church is open to all couples who seek God’s blessing on their holy union, and St. Alfred’s is an open and affirming Church. All Welcome. All Loved. No Exceptions. Pre-marital counseling is a requirement so please speak with the Rector at least six months in advance of your proposed wedding date. Please email rector@stalfreds.net or call the office 727.785.1601.
Funerals
Funerals are an important aspect of the pastoral care of all members of the St. Alfred’s parish family. When someone has died, it is the duty of the church to welcome all who seek comfort and an appropriate celebration of a loved one’s life and new life in Christ.
Pre-planning your funeral is a great gift to your loved ones. To have prepared your wishes, in consultation with the Rector, ensures that your loved ones know that they are providing exactly the type of service you desire. Download our St. Alfred’s Funeral & Memorial Service Planning Form or fill out our online form and then contact the Rector to make an appointment at rector@stalfreds.net. It is never too early to make these arrangements.
